Jena Spies

Legal and Administrative Assistant

After Jena graduated high school a year early, she went on to study at West Virginia University majoring in Economics and Criminology. Prior experience in the Legal Field made Jena passionate about Law and when the opportunity to work with Jennifer presented itself, she could not pass it up!  Jena is front-facing, routinely engaging in client contact, conducting intake calls, intensive court and attorney schedule management, and records receipt. Jena plans to attend Law School next year with Jennifer by her side as a mentor.

Anny Yannyong

Assistant

With a background in both law and accounting, Anny is an Assistant to Jennifer managing the influx and processing of the firm’s mail. Anny is responsible for carefully calculating deadlines, managing the receipt and processing the firm’s mail, maintaining full file organization, and assisting with the preparation of complex and sophisticated estate and elder planning documents.

Carolina Diaz

Case Manager

Carolina is the firm’s Personal Injury Case Manager. She is bilingual and a trusted point of contact for our clients. Carolina has years of experience, and, like Jennifer – previously worked on the insurance company’s side. As a former insurance adjuster, Carolina now uses her background and experience to better manage cases and deeply understands how insurance companies value and calculate settlement offers. Carolina is constantly in contact with insurance companies, managing medical/legal care, investigating case facts, negotiating medical bills, and preparing demand packages in such a manner that routinely achieves policy limit settlements for our clients. Carolina works alongside Jennifer conducting client meetings and routinely strategizes as to how to position a case for the best outcome.

Christine Bontuyan

Litigation Paralegal

Christine is a talented and dedicated professional with a passion for law. She is currently working as the firm’s litigation paralegal where she uses her strong analytical and drafting skills to further advance cases in litigation. In her home country of the Philippines, Christine is a licensed lawyer and has more than five years work experience in both the United States and Philippines. Christine drafts pleadings, discovery, motions, memoranda, and drafts other legal correspondence while managing her time against harsh Court deadlines. Christine assists in interpreting legal statutes and governing law, as well as developing legal arguments and presentations for mediation and depositions. Christine works alongside Jennifer strategizing on how to aggressively advocate for our clients and push the case to resolution and/or trial. 

Deanna DeYoung

Lawyer, Marketing & Development

Deanna graduated with a business degree from the State University of New York at Farmingdale. She then obtained her law degree at Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, New York receiving a notable scholarship.

Deanna’s professional legal experience started before law school in 2015 before, working as a paralegal on Long Island, NY, focusing on matrimonial and family law, real estate law, wills, trusts and probate proceedings. After law school, Deanna focused her skills in matrimonial and family law while working for a law firm in the Bronx, NY, as a pretrial and trial law clerk allowing her to gain further insight to trial skills and tactics.

Seeking new challenges, she relocated to Florida and expanded her knowledge in personal injury law. She refined her pre-trial and trial proficiency as a law clerk by supporting attorneys in the intricacies of litigation proceedings. Deanna plans to gain admission to the Florida bar and practice alongside Jennifer, and as she prepares to do so she manages the firm’s legal marketing and development from Jacksonville, Florida covering both the Northeast Coast of Florida and Long Island, New York.
